Can we change the layout of the dashboard screen?
Yes, we can change the layout of dashboard. You can now choose whether the landing page for individual department is the dashboard, the document library, the wiki, the calendar, or another feature. You can even remove the dashboard altogether from a department. For doing that you need to follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Enter a site.
2. Click gear icon then Customize Dashboard or Customize Department.
3. If you click on customize department, the Dashboard is shown by default as one of your Current Site Pages. Click Remove to remove it from the site.
4. Alternatively, change the order of the Current Site Pages so that a different page comes first (from left to right). This page will become the site homepage.
5. Click OK to save your changes.
6. The site displays with its new homepage.
7. You can always add the dashboard back later.
8. In case you click on “Customize Dashboard”, you will get the below shown page:
9. Click on change layout. Then select the layout from different option to change the layout.
10. Click on “OK” to save your new layout.
